PURPOSE:To perform excellent buffing and to improve working efficiency, by a method wherein a buff roll is rotated centering around the center of the curvature of the outer surface in the circular shape of a work as the buff roll is continuously rotated, and is forced into pressure contact with the outer surface in the circular shape about with a specified pressure. CONSTITUTION:A buff roll 3 is continuously rotated through the working of a driving mechanism 4, and the buff roll 3 is rotated around the curvature of the circular outer surface of a work through the working of a rotary mechanism 5. Further, the buff roll 3 is moved in the direction of the circular outer surface through the working of a cylinder mechanism 22 for press, and the buff roll 3 is moved in a direction, in which the buff roll is separated away from the circular outer surface, through the working of a cylinder mechanism 27 for balance. The cylinder mechanism 22 for press and the cylinder mechanism 27 for balance are controlled through the working of a control mechanism 22, and the buff roll 3 is forced into pressure contact with the circular outer surface about with a specified pressure. This enables execution of excellent buffing, and improves working efficiency. |
