PURPOSE:To improve the positioning accuracy by winding an exciting coil on the legs of an E-shaped yoke, and disposing a movable element formed with pole tooth train having the same pitch as a stator having 3-phase pole tooth trains on the upper surface, on the stator. CONSTITUTION:A linear pule motor has a flat plate stator 1 and a movable element 4 disposed at a predetermined gap on the stator 1. The stator 1 is composed by winding exciting coils 3a-3c on legs 21a-21c of a yoke 2 of planely E shape and disposing 3-phase pole tooth trains 22a-22c displaced in the phases on the upper surface. The element 4 has pole tooth train 42 having the same pitch as the tooth trains 22a-22c.
