PURPOSE:To surely measure the temperature distribution of plural objects to be measured,by not using an expensive lens but using infrared-ray sensors having wide angles of field. CONSTITUTION:Objects to be measured N1 and N2 are in the measuring visual field of an infrared-ray sensor S1 and the object N2 and an object to be mea sured N3 are in the measuring visual field of another infrared-ray sensor S2, and then, the object N3 is in the measuring visual field of the 3rd infrared-ray sensor N3. The infrared-ray sensors N1, N2, and N3 can make detection by making distinction among three states, no exothermic object, one exothermic object, and two exothermic objects. Various kinds of combination exist in the relation between the temperature states of the objects N1, N2, and N3 and output states of the infrared sensor S1, S2, and S3 when outputs of each sensors are '1', '2', and '3', but a temperature distribution discriminating means T can distinguish each of the combination from the combination of the outputs of the sensors S1-S3. Therefore, the temperature distribution of plural objects to be measured can be discriminated even when infrared sensors having wide angles of field are used without using any expensive lens.
