发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING FLUFF OF WOVEN FABRIC
摘要 PURPOSE:To correctly measure the number of pieces, position and length of fluff by projecting laser light to a continuously traveling woven fabric from the transverse direction thereof and photodetecting the light scattered from the fluff by using plural pieces of solid-state image pickup devices thereby detecting the fluff. CONSTITUTION:The laser light 2 is projected to the woven fabric 3 in the transverse direction thereof so as to irradiate only the fluff 4 without irradiating the fabric. Plural pieces of the solid-state image pickup devices 5 are provided to photodetect the light scattered from the fluff. The output signals thereof are discriminated with a voltage level in a discrimination circuit 6 and are fed to a computer 8 by which the fluff is electrically detected. Many picture elements are provided to the elements of the image pickup devices 5 and the position in the transverse direction of the fluff is detected from on which picture elements the scattered light subjected to the photodetection is made incident. The length of the fluff is detected from the voltage level and the position of the fluff is detected from the longitudinal position of the woven fabric. Since the fluff is detected by the solid-state image pickup devices, the fluff is detected with high accuracy and the efficient quality control of the glass fiber woven fabric is made possible.
