This invention is concerned with the recorder and the reproducer of VTR which record and reproduce the aural signal without the qural head. The method is as follows. The aural signal is sampled with constant time interval i.e. horizontal synchronizing signal periods, so that the sampled signal is mixed with the color signal of the image signal. This mixed signal and the luminance signal are recorded on the image track. To reproduce, that sampled aural signal is detached from the color signal so that the original sound is heard. In Fig.1, Fig.2 the block diagarams show this process.
