PURPOSE:To hold and transfer an object near an opening without making contact with it by providing an air intake orifice on the upper surface of tubular body, making the inside corner of an opening on the lower surface arcuate and warping up structurally the outside to send air into the inside. CONSTITUTION:The upper surface of a tubular body 1 is enclosed except for an air supply port 14 to form a cushion chamber 2. The lower surface of the tubular body 1 is opened to form a bend 3, a parallel portion 4 and a folded- back portion 5. When an object 13 is adapted to approach the tubulat body 1 and air C is supplied from said port 14, the internal pressure in the cushion chamber 2 is increased to press the object B while an ejector system vacuum pump is formed of the bend 3, parallel portion 4, folded-back portion 5 and the object B to generate a force attracting the object B to the tubular body 1. Thus, the object B can be transferred without being damaged by adjusting the supply amount of air C and holding the object B without any contact between the object B and the tubular body 1.
