PURPOSE:To improve the service function without increasing the memory capacity by reading a telephone number instructed by an abbreviation dial registration area of other telephone set based on the key operation so as to send a dial signal to a trunk line. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone set 21 designates a trunk line 11 and makes dialing, a control circuit 70 discriminates a key operation signal and selects a common area in each area of a memory 80 in response to the result of discrimination, e.g., in the abbreviation dial transmission control mode and an individual area corresponding to the telephone set 21. Then the abbreviated dial number by the dial key operation is inputted and the address designated by the abbreviated dial number in the common area or the individual area of the memory 80 is accessed to read a telephone number. Then the control circuit 70 drives a transmission circuit 60 to send the dial signal corresponding to the telephone number to the trunk line 11.
