PURPOSE:To facilitate welding with collector terminals and enlarge junction strength without post-work being performed, by arranging high-density band, with powdered materials, paralleled in one row or more and sintering the whole in nearly the same thickness. CONSTITUTION:High-density bands 3, which have nearly uniform porosity and definite thickness t with alkali-proof fine metal fibers 2 being twined together complicatedly and which extend in parallel along one side A in the direction of its width, are arranged and paralleled in two rows having each definite interval L. Besides, the high-density bands 3 are formed with comparative narrowness by having powdered materials 4 contained. This metal fiber sintered substrate 1 is a large-width product in which the high-density bands containing powdered materials are arranged and paralleled in at lest one row or more. With it being cut at a difinite size, materials for electrode plates can be effectively obtained and thereabout high-density edge parts are formed. Although it is a metal fiber sintered material having high porosity, collector terminals can be easily jointed there by welding process in the same as in the usual bored steel plate or the like. |
