PURPOSE:To specify the execution address tracing of all memories that a CPU reads and writes during execution in address units and to eliminate the need to record unnecessary address information by placing information which specifies the object addresses of tracking and recording in a memory independent of a main memory. CONSTITUTION:The main memory 2 is stored with a program or data and a bit memory 3 instructs the execution addresses to be traced. Addresses A1, A2,...,An of the main memory 2 correspond to addresses B1, B2,...,Bn of the bit memory 3 one to one. A trace buffer memory 4 is stored with trace information. Thus, information which specifies addresses to be traced and recorded is stored in the memory independent of the main memory 2 to set addressed to be traced freely and previously and eliminates the need to describe a software interruption instruction in the program, so that the program never becomes complicated.
