PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of a liquid crystal cell by providing a stripe groove or a projecting stripe part near a charging hole on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An introducing groove 6 for a liquid crystal material is formed near a charging hole 5 on a cell substrate 1b of a liquid cell 10 by etching, and peripheral parts of two cell substrates 1a and 1b are sealed by a seal part 2. it is preferably that the depth of the introducing groove 6 is 3,000Angstrom -2mum. A liquid crystal conducting groove 8 is provided between the charging hole 5 of the substrate 1b and the introducing groove 8. Since this liquid crystal conducting groove 8 is provided, a charged liquid crystal is led to the introducing groove easily.
