The present invention relates to a quinoline compound of the formula <CHEM> wherein R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, esters thereof and salts thereof, and processes for preparation thereof. These compounds show excellent antibacterial activity and are useful antibacterial agents. These compounds are also useful as intermediates for production of other antibacterial agents. |
