<p>PURPOSE:To improve flame retardancy by filling silicon oil of prescribed viscosity between a cathode-ray tube and a lens to improve the cooling effect thereby preventing the dissipation due to evaporation and bringing the refractive index close to that of glass. CONSTITUTION:A heat sink 4 is provided between a cathode-ray tube 1 and a lens 2 and the silicon oil 3 whose viscosity is 30cm-stokes or below is poured into a part sealed by packing 5. The oil 3 absorbs the heat generated on a fluorescent screen, sufficient convection is generated because of small viscosity the heat is dissipated to the heat sink 4 to cool the fluorescent screen. Further, the flame retardancy is improved by applying chemical bonding of a halogen element to the silicon oil 3 or mixing it.</p> |
