PURPOSE:To control precisely steering power for rear wheels and enable the precise and optimum steering of wheels on a simple constitution by adjusting a bypass amount through the control of a variable throttle opening and regulating hydraulic pressure from an actuator for rear wheel steering. CONSTITUTION:Hydraulic pressure to be supplied to a power cylinder 12 for steering rear wheels is controlled by increasing or decreasing the opening of a variable throttle 15 depending upon a driving condition and adjusting a bypass amount from high pressure side to low pressure side. Therefore, steering power for rear wheels 10 can be controlled independent of steering power for front wheels 3 and that precisely to suit a driving condition. In particular, control characteristics for the rear wheels 10 can be freely and precisely adjusted by only the supply side opening of the throttle 15, for example, by increasing or decreasing the opening depending upon a car speed, because a return circuit from the power cylinder 12 is not throttled. Consequently, the proper and optimum steering of the rear wheels 10 is ensured by a simple constitution. |
