PURPOSE:To perform positioning of a mirror, by a method wherein, when, through driving of a drive motor, projection of a drive ring is forced into contact with either of the end surfaces of the notch of a mirror ring, the projection is caused to make contact with selective of the two end surfaces. CONSTITUTION:When a mirror case 11 is contained, a drive gear 9 is rotated with the aid of a drive gear 4. Rotation of a drive gear 9 results in rotation of a driven ring 8, and causes a projection 8a of the drive ring 8 to rotate within a base 1a and a notch 6a of a mirror ring 6 to bring the projection 8a into contact with one end surface 6b of a notch 6a of the mirror ring 6. This causes the mirror ring 6 to be engaged integrally with the drive ring 8 for rotation, resulting in rotation of the mirror case 11. Thereafter, the projection 8a of the drive ring 8 is brought into contact with one end surface 1b of the notch 1a of the base 1 to stop rotation of the drive ring and the mirror ring to force a mirror into a containing state. |
