PURPOSE:To prevent incomplete disengagement or incorrect functioning of a lockup clutch caused by pressure leakage into the inner diameter part of a drive gear by making an applying pressure passage a separate line from a hollow part of an inner diameter part of the drive gear of an oil pump. CONSTITUTION:Between an oil pump drive shaft 25 and an output shaft 23 is interposed a hollow cylindrical shaft 31 fixed to an oil pump side cover 30. Between the hollow cylindrical shaft 31 and the oil pump drive shaft 25 is arranged a first rotary seal 32. Between the oil pump drive shaft 25 and an oil pump housing 26 is arranged a second rotary seal 33. While a release passage 34 is arranged within the output shaft 23, an independent applying pressure passage 35 is arranged between the periphery of the output shaft 23 and the inner circumference of the hollow cylindrical shaft 31.
