<p>A generator (13) is driven by an aircraft engine (11) through a continuously variable ratio drive device (20) responsive to error signals from a circuit (24) indicating a difference between desired and actual speeds of an output shaft (21) of the device (20). The circuit (24) includes a switch for preventing the error signal from being applied to the device (20) until the shaft (21) reaches a predetermined speed and a ramp generating circuit for increasing the rise time of the error signal after the predetermined speed has been reached.</p> |
