PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a filter circuit, etc. for inhibiting switching noises by changing the flux linkage of a secondary-side winding for a transformer. CONSTITUTION:DC output voltage is compared with an output from a reference- voltage generating section 4, the error section of the DC output voltage is amplified by an error amplifier 5, and the gains of a gain-variable AC amplifier 7 are controlled by using an output signal from the error amplifier 5. On the other hand, voltage proportional to AC input voltage is transmitted over the gain-variable AC amplifier 7 from a transformer 1. The gain-variable AC amplifier 7 amplifiers AC input voltage in response to DC output voltage, an output from the amplifier 7 is transmitted over the transformer 1, and magnetic flux interlinking with the secondary side of the transformer 1 is changed. AC voltage induced on the secondary side of the transformer 1 is made to pass through a rectifying section 2 and a filter section 3, thus acquiring DC output voltage.
