PURPOSE:To travel a transport car to the position of the next stator by blowing the pressurized fluid onto the transport car from a nozzle installed along a guide rail, when the magnetically floated-up transport car stops at the intermediate part between the contiguous stators. CONSTITUTION:When a stator 7 is urged in the state where a transport car 5 stops under the stator 7, the secondary conductor plate 9 installed onto the transport car 5 receives a thrust from the stator 7, and the transport car 5 starts traveling along a guide rail 3, in the magnetically floated-up state. During the traveling, on a magnetic supporting device 4, the gap from the guide rail 3 is detected and controlled by an optical gap sensor installed onto the transport car 5. Since, when the transport car 5 stops at the position where the stator 7 is not installed, the transport car 5 can not travel by itself, the transport car 5 is allowed to start traveling by the blowing of the compressed air onto the transport car 5 from a nozzle 15a, and traveled to the position where the next stator 7 is arranged, and allowed to reach a destination.
