The light fitting (1) is formed with a holder (10) which works in conjunction with one end part of a ceiling plate or rail. This holder has means (11) on its end part facing the fitting which can impact to the fitting a controlled rotary movement. The outer contour of the fitting, in connection with the space in which the fitting locates, is such that when the fitting adopts a horizontal end position formed by the limited rotary movement, it is in a position where it is in the same plane as the lower ceiling (2). In a second end position formed by the limited rotary movement, the fitting is in a position where it forms a right or acute angle with the plane of the plane of the lower ceiling.
