PURPOSE:To dispense with heat-sensitive paper, a transfer sheet and the like and to reduce a running cost, by providing a heater having a small orifice making an ink chamber communicate outside and a heating resistor formed around the small hole, so as to eliminate the clogging of ink and to make the ink stick directly onto ordinary paper. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is impressed on electrodes 5d and 5e to electrify a heating resistor 5c and thereby the heating resistor is heated, ink 3 in a small hole 5b is melted by heating. Therefore, the ink 3 in the small hole 5b is pushed out to flow outside by a pressure F applied to ink 3 inside an ink chamber 2, and the ink 3 sticks onto recording paper 6 positioned opposite to the small hole 5b. By selectively electrifying heating resistors formed around small holes 5b forming a line, in this way, ink dots are formed at desired positions in the direction of the width of the recording paper 6, which is fed sequentially in the direction of the length by the rotation of a platen 7, and thus a desired dot matrix can be formed. |
