PURPOSE:To give a high density image with little fog in a short time by using at least photosensitive silver halide, a binder, a reducing agent and the silver salt of a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:This heat developable photosensitive material has at least photosensitive silver halide, a binder, a reducing agent and the silver salt of a compound represented by formula I on the support. In the formula, each of R<1> and R<2> is H or a substituent, each of Za, Zb and Zc is methine, substituted methine, =N- or -NH-, one of Za-Zb and Zb-Zc bonds is a double bond, the other is a single bond and when Zb-Zc is C=C, it may be part of the aromatic ring. The silver salt of the pyrazoloazole compound represented by the formula I can be used within a wide concn. range and the suitable amount of the silver salt applied is 10mg/m<2>-10g/m<2> (expressed in terms of silver) and 0.01-200 mole basing on the amount of the photosensitive silver halide. The amount of the photosensitive silver halide applied is 1mg/m<2>-10g/m<2> (expressed in terms of silver) and the amount of the reducing agent added is 0.01-20mol, preferably 0.1-10mol per 1mol silver. The amount of the binder applied is <=20g/m<2>, preferably <=10g/m<2>, especially preferably <=7g/m<2>. |
