PURPOSE:To form a light shielding part even on plural electrodes by covering parts between picture elements with a dyed resin layer to intercept the light. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 is one of two substrates which form a liquid crystal display body and has a liquid crystal layer, and plural IT electrodes 2 are formed on the face, which is brought into contact with the liquid crystal layer, of the substrate. A gelatin or an acrylic resin which can be patterned by photolithography and has the dyeing property and the insulating property is patterned by photolithography and is dyed with a black dye or the like whose transmittance of visible rays is low to form a black dyed resin layer 3 between IT electrodes 2. Since the black dyes resin layers 3 has the insulating property in this case, short-circuit between electrodes does not occur. Since the black dyed resin layer 3 can absorb visible rays of 400-700nm and has the light shielding property, the contrast is improved considerably. |
