PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body having improved electric characteristics such as a sensitivity and a residual potential by incorporating a polyvinylacetal having two sorts of specific constituting units to a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer contains the polyvinylacetal which has the constituting units shown by formula (I) and formula (II) respectively, and contains >=40mol%, preferably >=50mol% the constituting unit shown by formula (I) and also contains >=60mol%, preferably >=70mol% of the sum of the constituting units shown by formulas (I) and (II). In formula (I), Ar is an aryl group, R1 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl or an aryl group, (m) is 0 or an integer of 1-3, in formula (II), R2 is a hydrogen atom or an acyl group. As a catalyst, one may use an acid such as a mineral acid for example, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, etc., and a sulfonic acid such as p-toluene sulfonic acid, benzene sulfonic acid, etc. A reaction temp. is 40-100 deg.C. Thus, the titled body having the high sensitivity and the low residual potential is obtd. |
