PURPOSE:To form a tubular orientated sheet having a desired air permeability simply and accurately by a method wherein the extruded sheet of thermoplastic resin, including a filler, is cooled while regulating a distance from the outlet port of an extruder to a cooling body and, subsequently, the sheet is oriented. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted of an extruder 1, a cooling body 2, an orientating machine 3 and various rolls, while the cooling body is provided with a variable mechanism for regulating a distance from the extruder 1. The bearing holder 11 of the variable mechanism and a cooling mandrel 2 are connected through a bearing 2, therefore, the torque of the hearing holder 11 effects as a force to move the mandrel 2 up-and-down. On the other hand, a supporting pillar 6 is provided with a key groove 7 and the mandrel 2 is provided with a key 9, therefore, the mandrel 2 can be moved up-and- down without being rotated. A sheet, obtained by this variable mechanism, is biaxially oriented by tubular orientation method and, thereafter, is cooled quickly. According to this method, the cooling speed of an extruded sheet can be controlled arbitrarily, therefore, fine regulation of the crystalization of the sheet can be effected. |
