PURPOSE:To lessen the source capacitance by decreasing the peak value of a head-conducting current in all black recording, by making the arrangement pitch of a dot forming measures be odd times one half of a recording pitch. CONSTITUTION:Because when the dot forming means installed at a recording head 7 are arranged in a plurality of lines of a zigzag state, an arrangement pitch PH is set to be odd times one half of a recording pitch P, the dot forming means of two groups are conducted by a timing in which only a time equivalent to almost one half of a recording pitch P is shifted without supplying current to all dot forming means by the same timing. Therefore, though if an applied current per one dot is (i), a current of 18Xi is required in black recording, the zigzag arrangement requires only the current of 9Xi or of the amount obtained by its multiplication by a variation coefficient alpha. Then, the source capacity required for driving the head can be lessened to about one half thereof. |
