PURPOSE:To enhance environmental stability and obtain highly accurate images constantly stably, by using a transfer recording medium which shows a rapid change in its property when plural kinds of energy are simultaneously applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:While irradiating a transfer recording medium 1 with light of a wavelength lambda1 from the side of a transfer recording layer 1a, for example, heating resistors 20b, 20d, 20e and 20f of a thermal head 20 are operated to generate heat. Then, of image-forming elements 1aa-D1 showing an optical density of D1, those 1aa supplied with both the heat an the light of the wavelength lambda1 are hardened. Next, the transfer recording layer 1a is irradiated with light of a wavelength lambda2 while the heating resistors 20a, 20e and 20f are operated to generate heat. By this, of image-forming elements 1aa-D2 showing an optical density of D2, those 1aa supplied with both the heat and the light of the wavelength are hardened. Further, the recording layer 1a is irradiated sequentially with the light of a wavelength lambda3 and the light of a wavelength lambda4 while operating desired ones of the heating resistors to generate heat, whereby image-forming elements 1aa-D3 and 1aa-D4 supplied with both the light and the heat are hardened, thereby forming a transferred image. |
