Aryl-substd. imidazol compds. (I) and (Ia) [R1=C1-4alkyl, aryloxy, benzyloxy, alkylsulfonyl, halo, cyano, nitro, amino; L,D=N or CH; G=- CH2-,-NR2-, -O-, -S(O)r- (R2=C1-3 alkyl, r=0,1,2); n=2,3 are prepd. by reaction of aryl compd. (III) [E=carboxylic acid with compd. (II) [A=amino . This reaction is performed in inert solvent containing base, catalytic acid and dehydration agent. The base is pyridine or triethylamine and the acid is ptoluenesulfonicacid and the dehydration agent is thionyl chloride. The compd. (I) is useful as a medicine for thrombosis, asthma.
