The tipping door contains an upper and a lower door part. These are formed by a large number of slat sections (2), in each case one slat section (2) of the lower and of the upper door part being interconnected by a slat articulation (4). The lower ends of the slat sections (2) of the lower door part (6) are connected in an articulated manner to a door foot (1); the upper ends of the slat sections (2) of the upper door part (1) are fastened in an articulated manner on brackets (11). When the door is opened, the slats (2) bend in their slat articulations (4) towards the outside of the door and form a canopy. The slat articulations (4) of the individual slats (2) can lie at different heights so that they lie on an imaginary arch-shaped curve section. <IMAGE>
