The man-hole lid for transport tanks for conveying liquids is fitted with a device for aerating and venting the tank. For this purpose, the lid (1) is fitted with passage openings arranged radially offset relative to one another and is provided on its underside with a plate-shaped covering (7) mounted with spacing. Arranged on the outside is an upwardly projecting disc body (10) having a plurality of discs (11 to 13) which lie with spacing one above the other within a circumferential wall (14) and in which passage openings (16 to 18) are provided which are likewise radially offset relative to one another. Provided above and with spacing from the disc body (10) is a further plate-shaped covering (19). Mounted in a central opening of the plate-shaped coverings and of the lid and of the discs is a rinsing-liquid pipe (20) which projects into the tank and is connected to a feed pipe (21) extending diametrically over the lid. Automatic cleaning of the aerating device is possible via passage openings (23) in the rinsing-liquid pipe (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
