PURPOSE:To produce a sandwichlike riceball, containing sufficient ingredients and having a high nutritive value, by press forming cooked rice in the bottom force of a mold, feeding ingredients thereon and pressing cooked rice in the upper part thereon. CONSTITUTION:Cooked rice in an amount corresponding to a half of a riceball is fed from a cooked rice constant rate feeder 1 to each riceball forming mold 2 and the cooked rice filled in the mold 2 is press formed by presses 25-27 in stopping a conveyor 4. Ingredients, e.g. salmon, cod roe, pickled UME or tuna, are fed from an ingredient feeding tank 30 on the press formed cooked rice. Cooked rice in an amount corresponding to a half of the riceball is subsequently fed from a cooked rice constant rate feeder 31 onto the ingredients. The cooked rice fed to the upper part is pressed by presses 32-34 in stopping the conveyor 4. The formed riceball sandwiches are then removed from each mold 2 by a press 36 and transferred by a belt conveyor 35 below the press 36. As a result, the aimed sandwichlike riceballs containing sufficient ingredients and having high nutritive value can be produced. |
