PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polycarbonate sheet of outstanding thermoforming characteristics, capable of giving formed articles of both good appearance and physical properties, by incorporating specific amount of a polyester in polycarbonate having specified average molecular weight. CONSTITUTION:The objective polycarbonate sheet can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a blend of A1: 20-80pts.wt. of a polycarbonate with an average molecular weight 12,000-18,000 and A2: 80-20pts.wt. of a second polycarbonate with an average molecular weight >=25,000 (pref. >=27,000) with (B) 5-100(pref. 10-70)pts.wt. of a polyester (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate) with an intrinsic viscosity [eta]>=0.5 (pref.>=0.6). |
