This stub is intended for "high-temperature" electrical resistors which are made in the form of a thin corrugated metal strip. The stub 4 is formed of two plates 7, 8 welded on either side of the end 1a of the resistor 1. The edges of the two plates 7, 8 situated in the joining region of the resistor 1 are bent outwards; they thus form raised wings 9, 10 which, by causing air turbulence, ensure a gradual drop in temperature of the resistor 1 in the joining region. Application: resistors intended for making infrared emitters. <IMAGE>
