A suspension, particularly for the rear wheels of a motor vehicle, comprising two leaf springs (12, 13) extending transversely of the vehicle generally parallel to one another and spaced longitudinally of the vehicle, and a wheel carrier (20) at each side of the vehicle connected to adjacent ends of the springs. The springs are supported on the vehicle structure, e.g. on a sub-frame (10), at two spaced positions between their ends so as to resist roll of the vehicle, while the wheel carriers are further connected to the vehicle structure by telescopic damper units (21, 22). The suspension provides good control of wheel movement while being relatively simple and readily accommodated in a vehicle. |
