PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption by changing the power supply voltage applied to a drive circuit to a level higher than that set when data are obtained normally from a pickup after detecting that the data obtained from the pickup has abnormality. CONSTITUTION:A vibration detecting circuit 21 detects the level of the external vibration based on the data delivered from an optical pickup 13 and produces the vibration detecting signal when the result of detection exceeds the fixed value set previously. A flaw detecting circuit 22 detects the omitted amount of data due to the flaws of a disk 11 from the data delivered from the pickup 13 and produces the flaw detecting signal when the result of detection exceeds the fixed value decided previously. A switching circuit 18 performs a switching action so that the voltage V2 impressed to a power supply terminal 20 is impressed to a drive circuit 16 while the detecting signal produced from the circuit 21 or 22 is supplied. As a result, the power consumption is reduced. |
