Process for drying and insulating moist masonrywork

A process for drying and insulating moist masonrywork consists in the fact that blind bores are introduced, at intervals, from one side into a wall to be treated and heating bodies are introduced into said blind bores. The masonrywork is then dried in the vicinity of the blind bore. After removing the heating bodies, molten wax or a corresponding hydrophobic sealant is pressed into the blind bores under superatmospheric pressure. Sealant, temperature and pressing-in pressure are selected such that the pores of the masonrywork around the blind bore are sealed.
