Only saturated steam performs its work of expansion entirely in the wet-steam range. Thus it has very high theoretical efficiencies (depending on the steam). By connecting several units (heat engine(s) + condenser + evaporator) in series, very large temperature ranges can be covered. Each unit of course operates with a different saturated steam, of course. A heat engine (resembling a vane-cell motor) is provided with a steam chamber volume that can be altered arbitrarily (by means of a cam etc.), but always varies uniformly during one rotation, and with movable outer partitions (steam chamber-liquid). In this way, almost the entire lifting work (identical to the work of expansion) can be obtained from the respective saturated steam in the wet-steam range within one pressure range (practically the boiling pressure in the evaporator and the condensation pressure in the condenser).
