<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with a metallic grounding electrode plate and to carry out efficient dust collection by mixing an electrically conductive fiber into a dielectric fiber or laminating the conductive fiber and grounding the conductive fiber. CONSTITUTION:With respect to the air cleaner for collecting and removing the dust in air by utilizing electric force, the electrically conductive fiber 7b such as carbon fiber is mixed into the dielectric fiber 7a, or the dielectric fiber 7a and the conductive fiber 7b are laminated to form the dielectric filter medium 7. The conductive fiber 7b is grounded. Consequently, a metallic grounding electrode plate can be dispensed with and an inexpensive and thin cleaner of simple structure is obtained. Besides, since a deodorizing filter is arranged on the downstream side of the dielectric filter medium, the electric field on the dust collecting side is intensified, electric charge is effectively induced on the surface of the dielectric filter medium and the dust collection efficiency is enhanced.</p> |
