PRODUCTION OF SEMIPERMEABLE COMPOSITE MEMBRANE

PURPOSE:To reduce the amt. of an amino compd. to be sued by producing the titled membrane from a compd. having >=2 amino groups and a polymer to be used as a porous supporting membrane and coating a multifunctional reagent to react with the amino group on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A polymer such as polysulfone capable of forming a porous polymer membrane by a wet process is dissolved in an aprotic polar org. solvent. The concn. is appropriately controlled to 10-40wt%. From 0.1-10wt% compd. having >=2 amino groups is added to the soln. and mixed. The membrane is formed in a wet process by using the mixed soln. Water is used as the coagulating liq. and the membrane is immersed in the liq. at 2-30 deg.C for 10sec-10min. Then a multifunctional reactive reagent soln. having a reactive group capable of forming polyamide or polyurea by the reaction with an amino compd. is coated on the surface of the porous polymer membrane. The concn. is preferably adjusted to 0.01-10wt%.
