PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from being damaged due to the leakage of coolant by opening an intercooler by-pass so as to enable coolant to be circulated through the by-pass when the leakage of coolant takes place in the intercooler provided to a coolant circulating system. CONSTITUTION:Coolant passages 11 and 12 which communicates both cylinder blocks 41 and cylinder heads 42 of a diesel engine 40 mutually, are provided. And an inlet port of the coolant passage 11 is connected with the discharge port 30 of a liquid circulating pump 13. The outlet port of the liquid passage 12 is connected with an upper tank 32 of the radiator 14 by a dust 18, and a lower tank 31 of the radiator 14 is connected with a suction port 29 of the above said pump 13 through a duct 16, intercooler 15, and a dust 17. A thermostat 19 is provided in the halfway of the above said duct 18, and an intercooler by-pass 22 is provided in the downstream of a connecting point of a by-pass 20 which connects the outlet port of the thermostat 19 with the above said duct 16, in the halfway to which an electromagnetic by-pass valve 24 is provided. |
