PURPOSE:To eliminate bad smell of a ginseng and obtain a readily drinkable ginseng vinegar, by adding a powdered ginseng and perfume to an alcoholic solution containing an added natural fruit juice containing citric acid and dissolving and incorporating drug effect components thereof in the solution. CONSTITUTION:A natural concentrated fruit juice, e.g. lemon, containing citric acid is added to an alcoholic drink, e.g. SHOCHU (low-class distilled spirit), to prepare a weakly acidic alcoholic solution with 25 deg. alcohol content at about 3 pH. About 500g powdery ginseng is then mixed in 10l alcoholic solution and about 200g fennel, about 100g clove and about 100g Japanese cinnamon as perfumes are mixed. The resultant alcoholic solution containing the above- mentioned materials is allowed to stand for about 1 month to age the ginseng and perfumes, etc., and drug effect components are dissolved and contained in the alcoholic solution. The ginseng vinegar thus obtained holds drug effect components, e.g. stomachic agent, etc. |
