The counter bearing block for vehicle sun visors is constructed in two parts. It consists of a housing (1) and a fixing plate (2). The solid or hollow housing (1) has a support surface (3) under which is a bearer opening (4) for the carrier axle of the sun visor which allows the repeated insertion of the axle into the opening (5), and a rear extension (6) consisting of two tongues which locate into depressions (15) in the fixing plate (2) and is held in place by pins (16) which project into holes (9) in the housing tongues (6). The fixing plate (2) is fixed by a screw through a central hole (16) into the vehicle body and is provided with a cover plate (19) connected to it by a film hinge (18), to swing into place over the underside of the fixing plate (2).
