PURPOSE:To enable shortening of a time required for a duplicating work, by a method wherein a feed table, on which a document to be duplicated can be placed, is disposed independently from a hand insertion table, and documents are assorted by the detecting size of the document so placed before scanning of exposure. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet document is placed on a full automatic feed part 1B and is detected by a sensor A, a locking piece 1B13 is moved in a feed passage and a first switching claw 1B61 is so set as to guide the sheet document to a set table 1B3. When the tip of the document is collided with the locking piece 1B13 for locking, the size of the document is detected by a size detecting part 1B11, and the locking piece is switched to second or third switching claw 1B62 or 1B63, by means of which the document is guided to a set table 1B2 or 1B3. Thereafter, after detecting of a size at a feed table 1B10 is competed, the locking piece 1B13 is moved backward, and the documents are assorted onto set tables 1B2 and 1B3. This eliminates a time required for assortment of the documents during duplication, and enables shortening of a time required for the whole of a duplicating work. |
