A dietary calcium and iron supplement is disclosed. This supplement comprises nutritional amounts of both calcium and iron. The supplement also includes an enteric or like delayed release coating which surrounds the calcium. The enteric coating substantially prevents the calcium from inhibiting the biological absorption of the iron. As a result, calcium and iron can be simultaneously without adverse mineral interactions.
