<p>1286862 Carbon black pellets PHILLIPS PETROLEUM CO 19 Nov 1969 [20 Nov 1968] 56586/69 Heading C1A [Also in Division C3] Carbon black pellets containing 0À1-10% wt. of polyethoxylated carboxylic acid of general formula where is the residue of stearic acid, oleic acid, or a rosin acid and x is an integer from 5-15 (claimed per se are formed by pelletizing, shaping and drying moist carbon black containing said polyethoxylated carboxylic acid. The overall molecular weight of the polyethoxylated acid may be in the range 500-1000, and the specific gravity in the range 0À9-1À1. The polyethoxylated acid may be added to the carbon black as a 0À05- 5% aqueous solution to yield moist pellets containing 0À05-5% polyethoxylated acid. The pellets may be used for incorporation in butadiene-styrene rubber compositions (see Division C3).</p> |
