The invention relates to a security paper with optically active structures applied as a safeguard against reprinting, these structures producing a visible moiré effect in half-tone reproduction, and consisting to a substantial extent of open and/or closed sub-structures recurring in the manner of a register and composed of suitable structural elements of differing remission, in a manner such that they have identical or different spatial extents and/or distances apart.
