Household dishwashing machine with a rinsing container, a water-softening equipment, an emptying pump and a heater for heating the rinsing liquid which is sprayable by means of a pump through spray equipment onto the crockery as well as with a supply container (23) connected thermally conductively with the rinsing container (1) and acting as heat exchanger, wherein a fresh water duct (13) ends behind a fresh water inlet valve in a free flow path (14) of a storage container (9), which is provided for the introduction of a metered quantity of brine and is disposed above the water-softening equipment and from which on the one hand a duct opens in flow direction behind the free flow path (14) into the supply container (23) and on the other hand an outflow duct (10) goes out to the salt supply container (6), where in the storage container (9) is fillable by the leakage water arising in the free flow path (14) and/or by the backwash water from the feed duct when the supply container (23) is filled, the storage container (9) is associated with a level transmitter (17) closing the fresh water inlet valve when the supply container (23) and the storage container (9) are filled, the outlet (10) of the storage container (9) into the salt supply container (6) is blockable and the supply container (23) is connected by way of a shut-off device to the ion exchanger (3), characterised thereby, that the supply container (23), the ion exchanger (3), the salt supply container (6), the storage container (9), the free flow path (14) and the level transmitter (17) are combined into one container unit (2), that the ion exchanger (3) is arranged in the bottom part, the salt supply container (6) above the ion exchanger (3) and the storage container (9) in the upper part of a container part of synthetic material, the level transmitter (17) consists of a chamber (19), which is divided off from the storage container (9) by an overflow partition (18) and in which a float (20), sensor or the like is arranged or to which a pressure monitor is connected, which at a certain filling level closes the water inlet valve, and that the supply container (23) consisting of metal or synthetic material is connected on the one hand at the bottom between the free flow path (14) an a valve (16) by way of a nipple (24) to a fresh water channel (15) of the container unit (2) and on the other hand at the top through a ventilating as well as overflow duct (25) with the fresh water duct (13) of the container unit in the region of the free flow path (14).
