In the case of a towing vehicle for the manoeuvring of aircraft, a U-shaped recess is located at the rear, into which recess the nose wheel of an aircraft can be enclosed by manoeuvring and which recess is arranged in the pick-up blades which engage around the nose wheel on its front and rear sides. In order to improve the picking-up process, it is proposed that the front pick-up blade, which grips the nose wheel on its front side, has guide elements arranged on its two sides which engage in curved tracks which are constructed in the two side walls (which bound the U-shaped recess at the sides) of the chassis. For the same purpose, it is furthermore proposed to attach the front pick-up blade to a hinged support which is connected to a pivoting lever, which is articulated on the chassis, at a hinge point, two hydraulic cylinders (which are arranged at an angle to one another and are supported on the chassis of the towing vehicle) engaging on that end of the hinged lever which faces away from the front pick-up blade.
