PURPOSE:To improve the operativity of a copying machine without increasing the cost greatly by providing an electric connecting means which connects specific equipment to the copying machine freely attachably detachably and outputting and updating data in a memory with a signal from the equipment connected by a control means. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer 800 is set in execution mode and a connection request code is transmitted to a controller 100 to display an operation menu. When which process is to be performed is specified with keys, the process is carried out according to a procedure determined for the specified process. If the necessity of memory contents display arises in each process, a memory display code is sent to the copying machine body 50 and a memory update code, an input port readout code, and an output set code are sent to the main body 50 as necessary. For example, when the setting of copying paper side is updated, various paper sizes are displayed on a display device with a key input and the numeral of a desired size is inputted with keys. |
