PURPOSE:To perform accurate paper feed without exerting external force on recording paper so as to shift the position of said recording paper with respect to a platen, by using a material receiving the supply of static electricity as that of the metal core of a platen and forming a conductive elastic layer around the periphery of the metal core. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 19 is guided to the nip between a paper guide 18 and a platen 12 and attracted to the part charged in a strip pattern form of a conductive elastic layer 16 and sent in a state closely contacted with the peripheral surface of the platen 12 to perform recording. After recording was finished, a specific insulating elastic layer 15 is destaticized by a destaticizing brush 17 and the recording paper 19 is released from the destaticized part. When the elastic layer 15 passes the part of the destaticizing brush 17, the destaticized part of the conductive layer 15 is again charged. In paper feed following this recording, external force generating shift between the recording paper 19 and the platen 12 or levitating the recording paper 19 is not generated at all and, therefore, the positional shift of the recording paper is not generated and accurate recording is performed and, even when erasion or underline is performed, no positional shift thereof is generated. |
