PURPOSE:To efficiently convert picture information of a picture which varies over the time at a desired point of time by reading the data in a VRAM at the said point of time, and transforming it in a prescribed format, then outputting in case the transformation is required. CONSTITUTION:Drawing instruction data in instruction unit is read, and the said data is decoded. And a display data suitable for a specific display device such as a personal computer is generated to draw on the display. Whether or not a conversion request exists for the picture currently being displayed on the display, is judged. In case it exists, the drawing routine is temporarily stopped, the data in the VRAM 1 in the display device is read out. Then the format of the said data is transformed, and the result is outputted, and the drawing routine that is temporarily stopped is continued. The conversion request is executed by a specific key input at the time when a desired picture is displayed while watching the picture variable over the time. |
